Section III’s top 2 girls divers lead way as 16 competitors earn trip to state qualifiers (91 photos)

Syracuse, N.Y. — Liverpool’s June Piorkowski and Jamesville-DeWitt’s Kayla McQuaid flexed atop their respective classes on Saturday at the Section III girls diving meet.
Piorkowski won Class A with an 11-dive total of 474.15 and McQuaid took B at a school-record 469.95. Both of those scores were well beyond the state qualifying mark of 440, which each diver had already surpassed in earlier competition.
